Planning for coastal resilience amongst uncertainty // Restore the Mississippi River Delta (MRD) Coalition

After a decade of championing nature-based solutions to protect and restore Louisiana’s coast, the Mississippi River Delta (MRD) Coalition—a partnership of leading environmental NGOs—set out to craft their first unified strategic plan. They partnered with Agaru Consulting to guide a process grounded in shared purpose, scientific integrity, and collaborative action.

We facilitated a series of working sessions that engaged stakeholders at every level—from the Executive Committee to campaign staff—ensuring the final strategy reflected the collective wisdom, experience, and commitment of the entire coalition. Together, we created a roadmap that prioritizes aligned action, informed policy, and strong communication amidst evolving environmental and political landscapes.

Since that first engagement in 2021, Agaru has remained a strategic ally to the MRD, helping to build cohesion across member organizations and adapt to shifting conditions in the coastal restoration space. It’s a partnership that continues to reflect our shared belief: that long-term impact starts with strong foundations and the power of working together.
